I’m ready to keep serving you.
Unapologetic advocate for public education.
A child’s education impacts their life for generations. Our neighborhoods and our communities thrive when our public education system does.
A voice for community.
I’m the only Trustee to hold regular community meetings that are open to the public.
Effective leadership. Real results.
During my first term, we worked together to champion and deliver real results for our students, teachers, and community, including:
Partnership with the Young Women’s Preparatory Network to establish the Young Women’s Academy.
Development and implementation of a public accountability dashboard for ESSER funding, the largest federal funding infusion in history.
Spearheading the creation of El Paso’s first public Montessori school.
Introduction of Ivy League classes in EPISD, the first in the city.
Securing the largest teacher pay raise in EPISD history.
Reduction of fifth-grade class sizes to improve learning conditions.
Stipends for hard-to-fill and coaching positions to recruit and retain quality staff.
Implementation of a strategic plan focused on mental health, whole-child education, and strong educational outcomes.
Accelerated Algebra I instruction to match neighboring districts and raise academic standards.
Development of Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways to prepare students for high-paying jobs.
Expansion of SAT preparation and advanced coursework to boost college readiness.
Increased support for dual-language programs to strengthen bilingual education.
Disaggregation of special education populations in HB3 goals to ensure equity and accountability for all students.
